  1. As a physical education teacher we should educate students on healthy eating, creating a healthy lifestyle, staying active and exercise. The my plate website is a great place to begin because it has everything you need. It cover a great deal of healthy habits that will decrease this obesity epidemic.

  2. We can begin by creating personal fitness plans for each student to work on in and outside of the school. These fitness plans should include a wide variety of workouts for students to choose from, such as jogging, walking, swimming, biking, etc. Students can track their physical fitness each week and throughout the semester aim to increase their workout intensity. If the students have a smartphone or tablet, they can download a free app called "MapMyRun" to track and log their activities from them.

  3. Love the great ideas to help us get started with health education in physical education. Most PE teachers in middle and elementary school have to teach both health and PE classes within their lesson plans.
